Terms of Use

Last updated: June 2026

Welcome, and thank you for visiting. These terms explain the basis on which you use the Fare-Well Co. website. By using the site, you agree to them. They are written plainly on purpose.

What this site is

This is the website of Fare-Well Co., an end-of-life planning, companioning, and after-loss support practice on Prince Edward Island, serving PEI in person and Atlantic Canada and beyond virtually. The site describes the support offered, shares free resources, and gives you a way to get in touch.

This is not professional advice

Fare-Well Co. provides non-medical, non-clinical support. Nothing on this site, and nothing in the free guides, is legal, medical, financial, or therapeutic advice, and none of it replaces care from a qualified professional. The guides are general information, not a substitute for advice about your own situation. When your needs fall outside the scope of this practice, I will say so plainly and point you toward the right professional. For anything urgent or medical, contact your doctor, a crisis line, or emergency services.

Using the site does not create a working relationship

Reading the site, downloading a guide, or sending a message does not, on its own, create a client relationship. Working together begins only when we have spoken, agreed on scope, and signed a written agreement. That agreement, not this website, governs the support I provide.

The free guides

The guides are offered in good faith to be genuinely useful. They are general and educational. Your situation is your own, and you are responsible for the decisions you make. Use the guides as a starting point, and get professional advice where it matters.

What belongs to whom

The words, images, guides, and design on this site belong to Fare-Well Co., unless noted otherwise, and are protected by copyright. You are welcome to read, download, and use the free guides for your own personal, non-commercial use. Please do not copy, resell, or republish the site’s content as your own.

Using the site fairly

Please use the site lawfully and decently. Do not try to interfere with how it works, gain un authorized access, or use it to harm others.

Links to others

The site may link to other people’s websites or resources. Those are provided as a courtesy. I do not control them and am not responsible for their content or their practices.

Limits

I keep the site accurate and available as best I can, but I cannot promise it will always be perfect, current, or uninterrupted. To the extent the law allows, Fare-Well Co. is not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or the free guides. This does not limit anything that cannot be limited by law.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Prince Edward Island and the laws of Canada that apply there.

Changes

I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
